Membership is a distinctive honour that is bestowed on a person who has notably contributed to the improvement of human esthetics through education, research, literature or clinical practice.
Your Commitment
After attending two Spring meetings as an EAED Affiliate, your three sponsors can submit a request that will allow you to be screened by the Membership Committee during the following Spring Meeting.
Active Membership Application
You must have paid your dues regularly and obtain the unanimous confirmation from your sponsors regarding your professional requirements.
After your sponsors have submitted your application, and if it is approved by the Membership Committee, you will be invited to a subsequent Autumn Meeting (odd years) or the following Spring Meeting (even years) to deliver a brief, professionally oriented presentation on a topic related to esthetic dentistry that reflects your clinical or scientific work.
If the candidacy is approved, the candidate will be given notification of the date and place in which he/she will present in front of the MC. Slots are limited and are filled on a first come first serve basis.Your sponsors and the EAED Membership Committee will provide guidance on the presentation style and duration; the presentation should follow the guidelines outlined below.

Membership Vote
After the Membership Interview during the Spring Meeting, the candidate will be notified whether he/she is invited to present in front of the General Assembly during the following Fall Meeting.
To become an Active Member, it is necessary to receive a three-quarters (3/4) affirmative vote, by secret ballot, of EAED Members present at the General Assembly.
Notification
A written decision will be forwarded to you after the meeting’s conclusion. If not accepted, you will have one other opportunity to present in a future autumn meeting.
Your application must be supported by a Sponsor Recommendation Letter.
