Venue

The EAED Closed Meeting will be hosted at Hotel St. Nicolas Bay in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, a seaside property set right on the water (pages 4–7). The overall feel is “private resort on a peninsula”: bright Mediterranean architecture, terraces facing the sea, and outdoor areas designed for informal conversations between sessions. The scientific sessions are planned in the Kyklades Conference Hall, which is presented as the dedicated meeting space for the Closed Meeting. Visually, the venue supports that classic EAED mix: focused learning during the day, then effortless networking the moment you step outside—literally a few minutes from the conference room to the sea.

Rooms & suites

The accommodation is designed around comfort, privacy, and a strong sea-facing experience. Rooms and suites feel spacious and light-filled, with large windows and doors opening onto terraces or outdoor seating areas, so the sea becomes part of the atmosphere from the moment you wake up. Several options suggest suite-style layouts with lounge corners and a seamless indoor–outdoor flow that makes it easy to decompress between sessions without ever feeling “stuck” in a room. Some categories also offer private outdoor areas and pool-style terraces—ideal for members traveling with partners, or for anyone who wants a quiet, restorative base during an intense scientific program.
